Israel trying to use Bollywood to boost own image

Israel is showing increasing interest in Bollywood. Some believe that Tel Aviv wants to use the Indian superstars to correct its own image. 

Controversies emerged in the media when popular Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan held a meeting with the Israeli ambassador to India.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also going to meet Bollywood leaders during his visit to India.

Indians are unhappy with Netanyahu’s visit and many of them maintain that their country needs to distance itself from Israel over its crimes against Palestinians.
